Once GTA 6 is released, are we gonna have to start all over? or will it be shifted/migrated to the new world of GTA 6? I have some solid information and proofs related to this topic from interviews or statements from Rockstar Games itself! Let's Begin! So while we all are excited about GTA 6 and are looking forward for it to be released there is this one big question and confusion about what will happen of GTA online, once GTA 6 comes out, is there gonna be a GTA online 2? Now because GTA 5 and GTA Online have been immensely popular and they have earned a lot of money. The highest selling entertainment product ever made, we are almost a hundred percent sure that Rockstar Games is gonna release a GTA 6 and is gonna do something with GTA online as well. 

But What Now, there are a lot of possibilities here but if we think about only three options make sense, either Rockstar Games is gonna have to release a completely new GTA Online 2 which will feature everything new and would be based in a new city, just like GTA online came out with GTA 5 and all the current players are gonna have to start all over again in this new GTA online, now this could be a pretty good option because now that its almost been a decade since GTA 5 and GTA online came out, so most players are looking forward to something new and would be ready to start all over again because its been a long time since we have been creating havoc in Los Santos and I think we are desperately in need of a change. 

But in this whole argument, there is also gonna be a lot, and yeah I mean a lot of people who are gonna be upset about starting all over because of the countless hours. They have invested in GTA online to make money and a lot of people also spent a lot of real-world money to buy in-game currency. So it will end up being a huge loss for a large group of people which would result in an angry, and dissatisfied player base for the upcoming GTA 6 and GTA online 2 which Rockstar Games does not want at all since they want to make a shit ton of money from it. 

So all in all this does a have fair chance of happening but Rockstar Games might come up with something smart to satisfy all these people who invested a large amount of time and money into the current GTA Online. The Second Possibility could be that Rockstar Games does all that I talked about in the first option but they migrate each player's wealth into the new world of GTA online 2. What they can do is, first of all, transferring all the money that a player had in the current GTA online to the new one, and also transfer the amount that they paid to buy all the property like apartments and Offices and businesses and cars and stuff to the player's accounts in the new GTA Online. 

This would be coming with GTA 6, now this option makes a lot of sense because all the player base would now be happy hence increasing the sales of the upcoming GTA 6. But this is again very unlikely because then basically all the players who were like super-rich and super strong. In the current GTA online will again be super-rich, and super strong in the new one will dominate the new players hence resulting in a huge balancing issue and would be unfair to new players. Also, the whole element of grinding and playing the game for hours to make money would be gone and let's be honest that's where the fun is and you know think about it, if you already have what would be the main goal of GTA online or any game basically why would you play it or grind on it. It would just take all the fun away. 

It would also hurt Rockstar Games because then the people who are having a lot of real-world money and are interested in spending that money in videogames won't do it again. After all, they already did it in the current GTA online, so yeah all in all this might make a lot of people happy but in the end, it will end up creating a big mess and resulting in an even bigger number of angry and unsatisfied players, so again it's very unlikely. Now the third option, although very unlikely but could happen is what Rockstar Games can do is to update the graphics of the current GTA online, and just keep on adding new stuff to it like they have been doing ever since it was released. Now I'm taking this as a possibility because in an interview Rockstar Games Design director once told that instead of doing something completely new and hence possibly killing the game early, and hence shortening its life span. 

They rather prefer adding new things to the already successful GTA online because even if the players don't like the certain things that have been added, they can just simply ignore it and play the game as they have been playing earlier so this option might be very unlikely but it is still a possibility considering how successful most GTA online DLC's have been in the past! I see the second option of transferring all the money and the money spent on property and cars and stuff to the player's accounts in the new game, the new GTA online making the most sense and I would be really happy if Rockstar Games did that. Because it's the best of both worlds, and I am in desperate need of a new world inside of GTA. I'm personally even willing to start over in a fresh new world in GTA Online 2, even if that's what they end up doing! So That's it.
